I never really thought of my twin sister as an artist. I was the artsy one and she was the book worm. She was always, always, always reading. And I was always, always, always making art. When we branched off to college, she received her degree in journalism, and I in photography. And only in recent years have I had the pleasure of seeing the authentically creative side of her. Turns out, she’s been collaging longer than I have! And it also turns out that she writes poetry on a regular basis. Good poetry! She just never really shows anyone or shares her work. And as we grow older and come to know each other even more deeply, I so enjoy the opportunity for us to discuss and share our art with each other. I’m really not knocking makeup at all. I truly want to be that woman who can put it on and wear it flawlessly. But, it’s just so problematic for me. And even though I downright worship women who rock the makeup look, and have fun with it, and play and experiment, I just can’t. Does this make me less of a woman? I don’t believe so, but it’s definitely something I’m grappling with. Like everything, it comes down to deep and inner happiness, and soul alignment. And even though I wanted to enjoy this experiment, my soul crumpled when I tried wearing makeup. And there’s just no getting around it. I just can’t do it. Continue reading MY SOUL CRUMPLED A LITTLE WHEN I TRIED WEARING MAKEUP
From my experience, the key to being happy at work is all about finding the right match. It’s kind of the same as finding a good relationship. You can work at it and improve yourself, reflecting and growing and changing along the way. However, if your partner sucks, or is just incapable of being decent, it really doesn’t matter what you do. And leaving becomes the best option for all parties involved. I do believe that the same is true for finding happiness at work. And it’s all about recognizing the warning signs. I just took a maniacal drive to get some McDonald’s drive-through, and had all sorts of thoughts running through my mind. And I got to thinking, if Aphrodite was a real woman, and alive today, would she indulge in the pleasure of McDonald’s? I have found McDonald’s to be such a polarizing topic. I come across people who haven’t touched it in twenty years, who have never had it, who eat it weekly, or who try to stay away, but often give in. I’m the latter, in case you’re curious. So, whenever I’m questioning my actions, I always defer to the goddesses. And I ask myself what they would do. And since Aphrodite is the hottest of them all, I really want to know if she would say Yay or Nay when presented with Mickey D’s. Continue reading WOULD MODERN-DAY APHRODITE INDULGE IN THE PLEASURE OF MCDONALD’S?
This is the first time I have ever openly expressed my experience with spirit guide communication. The only people who know about my guides are my closest friends, and they in fact helped me discover my guides. But more about that later. If you think this is a bunch of silly crap, I totally understand. I’m not pushing my beliefs on anyone else, and don’t even really know what I believe. I am just sharing one goddess’s experience with you. So feel free to take whatever pieces you like, and leave the rest behind. But try to be open, because you might just have spirit guides of your own waiting to connect with you! Continue reading MY EXPERIENCE WITH SPIRIT GUIDE COMMUNICATION
I don’t often keep in touch with people I went to school with. My friends were few and far between in high school. And in college, I really only connected with a rare few, even though I desperately tried to find like-minded souls during that time. And although my college roommate and I had very little in common, and did not hang in the same circles, we still kinda dug each other. We most likely never would have been friends if we weren’t randomly assigned to live with each other freshman year. And when you live with someone, if all goes well, it’s easy to form a bond that can last well after you have both moved on. This POD-BLOG* article, and this week’s podcast episode, revolves around my catching up 20 years later with my college roommate, Molly McIntyre. Continue reading CATCHING UP 20 YEARS LATER WITH MY COLLEGE ROOMMATE
I have been meaning to do a YouTube article for awhile. But I can be really fickle about my YouTube tastes and didn’t want to create a whole article about my faves, only to find that they have changed within a month. However, I have been super obsessed inspired by these channels lately, and figured I would just take this article by the balls and run with it. It’s also 100% possible that within a month from now, I won’t like any of these channels. Regardless, for now, I’m here to share with you my favorite YouTube channels and why I like them.
