MY LIFE IS A MEDITATION RIGHT NOW

In this podcast episode, I share about my experience with recently committing a bit deeper to my meditation practice. I really only meditate for 6 minutes every evening! And how this devotion has been helping with my fear and anxiety, as well as handling disappointments in life that may have otherwise sent me spiraling. IMAGINE YOURSELF FLOATING IN A RIVER

Okay, I’m not sure where I’m going to go with this post as of now. But hang in there with me and let’s just see. This post was inspired by a newsletter I read this morning in which a woman named Pamela Kribbe channeled a message from Mother Earth. If you’re not into this kind of thing, you can still get something from this post and this quote. Because this quote was essentially asking us to imagine ourselves floating in a river. And to feel what it feels like to just let go. As if the river represents our world and our life as we currently know it. Continue reading IMAGINE YOURSELF FLOATING IN A RIVER

I HATE MEDITATING, BUT I DO IT ANYWAY

I’ve gone in circles so many times about this topic. And I’ve written multiple posts about my “journey” with meditation. I have had a very stop and start kind of relationship with this practice, and I’m essentially super half-assed about it. So, in this post, I’m not going to try to come across as some meditation goddess. Because I am so not. And instead, I’m going to do what I do best. Which is tell the truth about how I actually feel. Because if I’m being honest, I hate meditating. I really and truly hate it. But, I do it anyway. And I’m not even sure why. But, I’ll try to explain below. Continue reading I HATE MEDITATING, BUT I DO IT ANYWAY

THE BENEFITS OF ENTERING INTO THE SILENCE ZONE

I have been on such an emotional trip lately. And during one of my dark days, my partner and I were driving somewhere, with me in the passenger seat. I was feeling so anxious, and for a moment, I just closed my eyes. Breathing silently, I began focusing on the blackness behind my eyelids. And after only a few seconds, I started to feel instant relief for the first time in days and days. I go in and out of my meditation practice (I am currently so out right now). But in this moment, it was impossible to ignore the benefits of silence. What’s crazy is how easily I forget, and how long I let myself go without stepping into silence. So, for your information, but also to remind myself, I want to dive deep into exploring the benefits of entering into the silence zone. Continue reading THE BENEFITS OF ENTERING INTO THE SILENCE ZONE

ADULTING IS HARD AND I’M STRUGGLING WITH IT RIGHT NOW

I don’t know if it’s because Mercury is in Retrograde, or what. This planet retrogrades from May 29th to June 22nd 2021, and with this galactic chaos comes implicit problems with communication and technology, among other things. I openly admit that I do not do well when things are out of my control. And a lot of adulting often consists of dealing with shit that I don’t have much control over. I can typically handle this kind of thing in small doses. But as this retrograde unfolds, and more and more shit becomes uncontrollable, I’m finding that adulting is hard, and I’m super struggling with it right now. Continue reading ADULTING IS HARD AND I’M STRUGGLING WITH IT RIGHT NOW

IMPROVE YOUR LIFE BY LEARNING TO LISTEN

I am a decent listener in some aspects. In other areas, not so much. First off, I love to talk. I love to express and I love to share. You would think that would make me a terrible listener. However, I ultimately enjoy making authentic connections with others, and I know enough to know that you can’t connect with people unless you REALLY listen to them and take a genuine interest in what they have to say. It’s called “being a good conversationalist” and I think I have that on lockdown. However, there is always room for improvement. Continue reading IMPROVE YOUR LIFE BY LEARNING TO LISTEN

THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION FOR CONTROL FREAKS

I am a controlling person, an anal-retentive Virgo, and a watered-down hypochondriac. Fearful of many things, I like when everything is in its place. I like when people do what I want them to do. And I don’t like when people do what I don’t want them to do (or don’t do what I want … Continue reading THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION FOR CONTROL FREAKS

MANAGE FEAR LIKE A GODDESS

I’m frenemies with fear, and have been for my entire life. Every part of this definition incisively describes my lifelong relationship with fear, with the exception of describing fear as a person. Also, I would replace the word “friendly” with “familiar,” but other than that, razor sharp accuracy. Although I suppose everyone feels this way … Continue reading MANAGE FEAR LIKE A GODDESS
